About Us

Our History

Our story started in 1987, when Tom & Debbie Fields, our founders, earned their professional credential CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®). Tom was a FINRA Registered Representative from 1986-2012 and a Supervisory Principal from 1997-2012. Initially, the focus was on small business owners, advising them on their company’s benefit program and personal financial planning. In 1994 they were drawn to the client-centric model that fee-based advisory services provided which led to the founding of Fields Financial Associates, Inc (FFA). Beginning in 2002, the firm began to expand the team with the addition of two recent college graduates, Grant Blindbury and Evan Miller.

As FFA continued to grow in clients, staff and refining our wealth management services, we were rebranded as FMB Wealth Management (2008).

(Apr. 20, 1960 - June 21, 2018)

Tom was our founder and enthusiastic leader from the beginning. In 1994 he began to offer fee-based advisory services which led to him founding Fields Financial Associates, Inc. in 2001. As FFA refined its wealth management services, the firm’s name was changed to FMB Wealth Management in 2008. 

Tom earned his degree in Math from Occidental College in Los Angeles. In 1987, he earned the professional designation CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®). He was a FINRA Registered Representative from 1986-2012 and a Supervisory Principal from 1997-2012. 

Tom was an avid cyclist and stand-up paddleboarder, beloved husband, devoted father and exceptional leader. 

He was deeply respected, loved and is missed by all who knew him.

Debbie is the co-founder and a partner at FMB Wealth Management. Her focus is on leading the firm and providing administrative, operational and compliance support for the staff and advisors. She has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) since 1987. 

Debbie began working in the financial industry in 1980 as a loan officer at Crocker Bank. One of their referral programs led to her meeting her husband, Tom and being hired by The Morton Company as the Director of Insurance. Years later, Tom & Debbie founded Fields Financial Associates, Inc., which has evolved into FMB Wealth Management with affiliates FMB Retirement Services and FMB Insurance Services. 

Debbie’s guilty pleasure is enjoying the art of food and wine pairing. Her mornings always start by walking her big, goofy dogs, Cleo and Smokey Joe. Active vacations are at the top of her “favorite” list. Her most recent excursion was cycling through multiple Croatian islands followed by hiking and exploring in Iceland.

Grant Blindbury is a Partner and key member of the management team at FMB. He leads many of the Strategic Planning initiatives at the firm, both in design and execution. His leadership responsibilities include establishing the firm's vision, continually advancing client experience and creating opportunities and space for professional development. He’s also a member of the executive and investment committees. 

Grant began his career in the Investment Advisory industry in 2001 with Fields Financial Associates. As Fields Financial Associates grew, Grant eventually became a Partner in 2008 and the firm’s name was changed to FMB Wealth Management. Grant earned his bachelor’s degree in Business & Economics at the University of California at Los Angeles in 2001. He also is an active member and past president of the Board of Directors for the Conejo Valley Estate Planning Council. 

Grant is passionate about the charity Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County. He was matched as a Big in 2001 and has been on the Board of Directors since 2007. He is an avid baseball fan and in his free time he enjoys coaching his children's teams. He resides in Thousand Oaks and is devoted to his beautiful wife, two crazy boys, beautiful little girl, and his Labrador Retriever.

Partner / Chief Technology Officer

Jeremy’s (JJ’s) role with FMB Wealth Management and FMB Retirement Services is coordinating the financial needs of high net worth individuals with an emphasis on educating business owners and their employees on the benefits of retirement plans. His disciplined advisory process helps deliver valuable solutions to businesses of all types and sizes. JJ also performs as FMB’s Chief Technology Officer in making sure that the firm’s technology provides an outstanding client experience. 

JJ’s financial career started with FMB Wealth Management in 2006 while he was in college at the University of San Diego. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration he had the opportunity to start a swim school in San Diego. This unique experience provided a valuable perspective to the struggles of a business owner. After selling his swim school in 2012, he joined FMB Retirement Services to head the retirement division. His accreditations include being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and a Registered Fiduciary (RF™). 

JJ’s free time is spent with his loving wife and dogs, Kona and Levi. He enjoys the outdoors. Mountain biking and surfing are favorite activities, as is tinkering in his garage. His free time is also spent working for The Tom Fields Memorial Foundation which is dedicated to providing access to bikes and outdoor equipment to underprivileged youth.

Danny is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer. He is responsible for the development and implementation of Impact Planning at FMB. He also leads the investment committee at the firm and is a member of the executive committee. His expertise is developing and managing clients’ financial structures. Danny’s passion for giving manifests through charitable and philanthropic planning, providing skilled advice for the causes most important to FMB’s clients. 

Prior to FMB Danny earned a BA in Political Science and a BA in Economics from California Lutheran University where he competed on the NCAA water polo team all four years. Danny was recognized as a three time academic All American and a two time Athletic All American water polo player. He eventually joined FMB in 2013 while earning his Masters of Science in Quantitative Economics from CLU, and later in 2018, became a partner at FMB. 

Danny is happily married and lives in Thousand Oaks. Outside of FMB Danny enjoys exploring the local mountains on his bike or hiking the trails. In addition he and his wife enjoy supporting local and global charitable organizations and he sits on the board of the Tom Fields Memorial Foundation. He and his wife are also active members of their local church.

As COO David designs, implements and oversees the firm’s operations, human resources and compliance. Reporting to the CEO and working as a key member of the firm’s Executive Management team, David takes a leadership role in supervising the firm’s systems, processes, workflows and procedures. As CCO David proactively prevents, detects and resolves any compliance issues while ensuring the firm maintains a risk mindset. 

David joined FMB Wealth Management in 2015 and has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to FMB, he was with Citibank as a Vice President and Branch Manager with responsibilities including High Net Worth client relations, as well as deposit growth and lending management. Previously, David held Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses with Citicorp Investment Services. David earned his Bachelor's degree in Management from Antioch University. He also studied Information Systems Management at the University of San Francisco. 

David enjoys playing tennis and golf, as well as hiking in Southern California’s beautiful mountains. He lives in Westlake Village and frequently dines with friends at the area’s amazing restaurants.

Kathleen is responsible for managing various types of communication for the firm including marketing, public relations, and social media platforms. She determines communication strategies to enhance the firm’s messaging and ensures it’s consistency to clients and the community. Her passion is cultivating, maintaining and building community relationships through established networking groups and events. 

Kathleen originally joined FMB Wealth Management in 2018 as a Divorce Planning Associate, working with clients in various phases of divorce. She started in the financial industry as a Mortgage Advisor in 2014 and currently holds an NMLS license. Prior to that, she was a creative marketing professional with over 10 years experience in the marketing industry. Kathleen brings together her years of professional experience from both the financial and marketing industries integrating both into a cohesive role at FMB. 

Kathleen earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University. In her time off Kathleen enjoys spending time with her son and her dog. She enjoys hiking, roller skating on the strand at the beach and any type of live music event. She is passionate about giving back and works alongside the organization Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, which focuses on supporting the youth of local communities.

Jake specializes in portfolio management, where he assists in portfolio design, cash level management, and tax loss harvesting. Additionally, through a liability-driven approach, he helps with the process of constructing comprehensive financial plans that fit each client’s priorities and time frame. He also oversees the continuity of advisory services and communication. 

Jake joined FMB in April 2017 as an intern promptly after receiving his Bachelor's degree in Business. He has since obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from CSU Channel Islands in 2022. Throughout his time at FMB, he has gained a range of skills and experience, leading to an expansion of his role to assisting in high level investment management decisions and developing organizational consistency.  

As a Westlake native, Jake has enjoyed giving back to the community by spending time coaching and refereeing youth basketball teams. Outside of FMB, he likes to travel and spend time at the beach. He is also an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan and loves attending live sports events with his family.

AJ’s role as Advisor has grown over the last few years from an Associate Advisor, assisting Partners with their clients, to focusing on his own individual and business clients. After seeing many coworkers in previous industries confused about the company’s 401(k) plan and how to properly prepare for retirement, AJ is passionate in providing that clarity for employees and the businesses they work for. AJ has achieved the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist SM(CRPS®) designation by demonstrating his expertise in administering retirement plans for businesses.

Prior to joining FMB in June 2016, AJ earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and excelled in Business Development across a few different industries, including Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Surgical Sales. His expertise in creating and maintaining strong processes through managing sales teams has immensely added to the collaborative approach that FMB Wealth Management prides itself in. 

AJ and his twin brother, Evan (who is a Partner here at FMB Wealth) moved with their parents to Westlake Village in 1987 at the age of eight years old. He grew up playing sports and riding his bike all around the community. He enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, son and daughter. He also enjoys coaching and watching his kids in their activities, as well as golf, tennis, riding bikes, going to Friday night football games and just hanging out and having a laugh with family and friends.

Christine joined our Team with the focus on extending customized experiences for our clients, as well as to further personalize our connections with each of them. With over 15 years as the Executive Assistant at a local five-star hotel, she is well versed in exceeding expectations, preempting needs and delivering nothing short of stellar service.  

Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors, in English Language and Liberal Arts from California Lutheran University after having studied abroad at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. One of her claims to fame in the local area is having been the first twin to be born in Westlake Village. In her free time, Christine enjoys being with her husband, two daughters and their super pooch, Gracie; they particularly enjoy hiking the plethora of trails in the Santa Monica Mountains. Cooking is another favorite pastime, and she enjoys creating new recipes to add to her cookbook, “Across the Pond,” which is a compilation of her families’ traditions throughout the years.   When time permits, Christine loves to wind down, and curl up on her couch to read a good book.

Natalia joined the FMB team with over 13 years of Wealth Management experience. Most recently, her focus has been on portfolio management and client services. As an Associate Advisor with FMB Natalia will be supporting our Senior Advisors in delivering client needs, preparing client meetings and servicing clients.


A SoCal native, Natalia recently moved back from the Pacific Northwest, where she grew her love for all things environmental and health driven, as well as a vegan lifestyle. Natalia is a mother of two young boys and in their free time they love to spend their time out in nature, hiking, swimming, biking and most recently snowboarding.

Linda is an essential member of the Client Services team, focusing on client onboarding and assisting with account management. She also works closely with the Retirement Services team, ensuring a seamless set-up and follow through on all retirement plans.

Prior to joining FMB in 2018, Linda enjoyed a successful career at State Farm Insurance for over 35 years. Her expertise focused on sales support with insurance agents, including new product rollouts, marketing strategy, and customer relations. In addition, she managed insurance claims and implemented new training for agents. 

Linda holds an MBA from California Lutheran University and her BS in Business Administration from San Diego State University. Linda enjoys lots of family time,with her Dad, two sons and especially with her five beautiful grandsons. She also stays busy with travel, exercise, a good book and is always up for a glass of wine with friends.

As a member of the Client Services team, Ariana's focus is on delivering the ultimate client experience while assisting with client onboarding and account management processes. Joining FMB in 2022, Ariana is new to the team and brings with her a passion for the power of investing to reach financial freedom. 

While in University, Ariana studied abroad at the Paris School of Business and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business and Entrepreneurship from CSU Channel Islands. Prior to joining FMB, Ariana started her career in loan processing and later became a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer with a focus on Reverse Mortgages, retaining her NMLS license today.

As a born and raised Los Angeles native, Ariana loves going to the beach and exploring our beautiful local trails through hiking and mountain biking. She also has a minor in fine art and has a passion for painting and drawing. In her free time, Ariana enjoys wine tasting, traveling, and trying new restaurants in the area with her friends and family.
