In our ongoing effort to not just meet, but exceed, our clients needs and expectations, we are pleased to announce our FMB GENERATIONAL PLANNING Program (GPP).  Over the years, many of our clients have asked if we can help advise or educate their heirs on basic financial planning issues including:

  • Starting early to save for retirement
  • Understanding tax advantaged savings vehicles for Retirement and College (Roth vs Traditional IRAs, 529’s, 401(k)’s, etc.)
  • Selecting 401(k) investment options
  • Budgeting
  • New home purchase 
  • Insurance needs evaluations  
  • College saving and funding for children

While we have been more than happy to help on a one-off basis in the past, the recent growth of our firm and influx of highly skilled talent now allows us to formalize this service for our clients. Instead of being reactive to this need, we are now able to be proactive to it.

The goal of GPP is to deliver the advice your heirs need while also beginning to foster a long term relationship with not only the senior advisors at FMB, but also - and more importantly - with the younger advisors who are positioned to serve your heirs for decades to come. We don’t know of any other opportunity that exists for Gen-X or Millennials to form a long-term relationship with top notch wealth managers in their peer group who can offer them sound financial advice, including access to the cutting-edge financial planning tools we have been adding.  As any parent knows, at times it can be very challenging to have children seek the advice of their parents, even if they feel they need to.  Our hope is that the GPP removes any hesitation to seek advice on the important issues that will impact their financial futures.  No question will be considered too trivial to answer.  This service would remain free of charge until such time as their situation necessitates more complete wealth management services. Our goal in developing this program was not to create extra revenue for our firm, but rather it was to help the most important people in your life. What’s important to our clients is important to us!
